How does Insurance work?

I am happy to prepare a monthly statement for you to submit to your insurance provider for out-of-network reimbursement. Therapy is an approved HSA expense.

Great question—one I hear often. I choose to remain an out-of-network provider so I can offer the highest quality, individualized care without the limitations that insurance companies can place on treatment.

Staying outside of insurance allows me to:

  • Focus fully on your child’s needs, not just a diagnosis or what an insurer will approve

  • Provide flexible, developmentally appropriate support—especially important for younger children and play-based therapy

  • Protect your family’s privacy, since insurance requires sharing detailed personal information and diagnosis codes

I know cost matters. I’m glad to provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. And if affordability is a concern, please reach out—I’m happy to discuss options or connect you with referrals that may better fit your situation.
